Conventional turntables have problems with sound quality degradation caused by factors such as minute speed vibrations during rotation and rotational irregularity called "cogging". With the SL-1200G, the use of a new iron-core direct-drive motor eliminates gears. Additionally, the dual rotor construction reduces bearing load while maintaining high torque and also reduces minute vibration during rotation. These factors enable the reproduction of the warm and deliciously detailed sound engraved on vinyl records.
