With the MODEL M4, Marantz introduces a particularly ambitious approach to residential audio distribution. Designed for music enthusiasts who want to enjoy a genuine high-fidelity experience throughout their home, this multizone amplifier combines power, versatility and intelligence in a single component engineered for demanding audio installations.
Unlike traditional distribution amplifiers, the MODEL M4 does more than simply send music to speakers in different rooms. It features eight channels of amplification rated at 100 watts into 8 ohms, distributed across four independent stereo zones. Each room benefits from its own dedicated amplification, helping preserve the dynamics, precision and musical balance that define the Marantz sound.
For installations requiring additional power, Bridge Mode allows the eight channels to be configured into four channels delivering 200 watts each. This flexibility opens the door to a variety of configurations, whether powering multiple living spaces or accommodating speakers with more demanding amplification requirements.
One of the MODEL M4's greatest strengths is its four integrated HEOS modules. Each zone has its own independent music streaming capabilities, allowing different family members to enjoy separate content simultaneously. Multiple zones can also be grouped together to play the same music throughout the home, with centralized control through the HEOS app.
Compatibility with Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Amazon Music and numerous other streaming services provides convenient access to an extensive world of music. The MODEL M4 also supports AirPlay 2, high-resolution audio files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, and DSD formats. Whether streaming music online, accessing files stored on a network server or listening to a local source, the amplifier offers exceptional flexibility.
The MODEL M4 is also Roon Ready, allowing seamless integration into the Roon ecosystem. This certification ensures optimized communication with Roon, providing intuitive music library management, synchronized playback across compatible zones and a particularly rich browsing experience. It's a valuable feature for music enthusiasts who want to bring their personal collections and streaming services together in one sophisticated interface.
Marantz pays particular attention to digital-to-analog conversion through its exclusive MMDF (Marantz Musical Digital Filtering) technology. This digital filtering system was developed to preserve the natural character of instruments and voices while revealing subtle musical details. It reflects the philosophy that a distributed audio system deserves the same attention to musical performance as a traditional high-fidelity installation.
The MODEL M4's versatility extends to its connectivity. It features four analog RCA inputs, two optical digital inputs, four stereo preamplifier outputs and four subwoofer outputs. Adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters allow sound reproduction to be tailored to the characteristics of the speakers and the acoustics of each room. Dolby Digital support also makes it possible to integrate television audio into a multizone installation.
Designed for custom installations, the MODEL M4 features a chassis compatible with 19-inch equipment racks. Ethernet connectivity, 12V trigger outputs and compatibility with control systems such as Control4, Crestron and AMX simplify integration into a modern residence. Its centralized architecture keeps audio equipment organized while maintaining intuitive operation in every room.
Manufactured in Shirakawa, Japan, the MODEL M4 benefits from the craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterize Marantz electronics. Its understated appearance, robust construction and carefully engineered architecture reflect a commitment to delivering a component that is as reliable as it is capable.
At Audiophile Experts, we particularly appreciate solutions that allow music to extend beyond a single listening room. The Marantz MODEL M4 perfectly reflects this philosophy by transforming a centralized audio installation into a personalized musical experience, where every space can have its own atmosphere without compromising sound quality. It is an especially appealing solution for those who want music to become a natural part of their everyday environment.
Four zones, eight channels of amplification and one ambition: bringing music to every corner of your home with the elegance and musicality of Marantz.
