With the GARDIAN OW 6, DALI extends the boundaries of high-fidelity sound with a speaker designed to perform beautifully both indoors and outdoors. Engineered to deliver rich, natural and balanced musical reproduction, it combines sophisticated acoustic technology with exceptionally robust construction. A versatile solution equally at home on a residential terrace or in a restaurant, café or commercial environment.
At the heart of its design is a two-way coaxial driver configuration, combining a 5-inch midrange/bass driver with a 25 mm soft dome tweeter. By positioning both drivers along the same acoustic axis, DALI promotes coherent sound reproduction across the frequency spectrum while achieving exceptionally wide and symmetrical sound dispersion, whether the speaker is mounted horizontally or vertically.
This characteristic offers a significant advantage in environments where listeners are spread across a large area. In a restaurant, for example, wide and consistent dispersion helps create a more uniform musical atmosphere throughout the dining area, while contributing to reduced variations in sound level and tonal balance between different locations. When properly positioned, the GARDIAN OW 6 provides an enjoyable listening experience without requiring listeners to remain in a specific position.
Unlike many speakers designed primarily for background music, the GARDIAN OW 6 benefits from DALI's extensive acoustic expertise. Its design emphasizes precision, dynamics and natural musical reproduction, making it equally suitable for subtle background music or a more engaging listening experience when the occasion calls for it.
To enhance low-frequency performance, DALI incorporates two 5-inch passive radiators, positioned on either side of the coaxial driver. This configuration delivers rich, controlled bass from a relatively compact enclosure without relying on a traditional bass-reflex port. It is particularly valuable for creating a warm musical atmosphere in spaces where adding a separate subwoofer may not be desirable.
Although engineered to withstand demanding outdoor conditions, the GARDIAN OW 6 is equally well suited to indoor residential and commercial installations. Restaurants, cafés, hotel bars, retail stores, lounges and wellness facilities can all benefit from its wide sound coverage and versatile architectural design.
Its IP67 certification provides excellent protection against dust and water, while its weather-resistant construction makes it suitable for demanding environments. Designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +70°C, it is also an appealing solution for outdoor installations in Québec, provided DALI's recommended operating conditions are respected.
Installation is made particularly convenient by DALI's exclusive Click 'n' Connect system, an ingenious design that allows the mounting bracket to be installed and wired before the speaker is attached. Once the speaker clicks into place, the electrical connections are automatically established while remaining protected and concealed. The bracket also allows the speaker to be oriented horizontally or vertically to optimize sound coverage for its surroundings.
With a frequency response of 47 Hz to 25 kHz, 84 dB sensitivity and a maximum sound pressure level of 103 dB, the GARDIAN OW 6 delivers impressive acoustic performance for such a versatile architectural speaker. Its discreet, elegant design allows it to integrate naturally into a wide variety of residential and commercial environments.
At Audiophile Experts, we believe that a successful background music installation should offer much more than simply filling a space with sound. Reproduction quality, musical balance and the way sound is distributed throughout an environment all contribute directly to the listening experience. The DALI GARDIAN OW 6 perfectly illustrates this philosophy through its coaxial design, exceptionally wide dispersion and ability to deliver a genuine high-fidelity experience, indoors and outdoors.
Music without boundaries, with sound dispersion that lets every note find its place. DALI GARDIAN OW 6, high-fidelity sound wherever you choose to experience it.
