With the Compact Terra, Kaleidescape transforms the way you collect and enjoy movies at home. More than simply a storage solution, this dedicated movie server becomes the heart of a personal cinematic library, where every title is preserved in exceptional audiovisual quality and remains ready to enjoy whenever you wish.
Available in two capacities, 8 TB and 30 TB, the Compact Terra is designed for enthusiasts beginning their collection as well as dedicated movie lovers looking to bring hundreds of titles together in one place.
The 8 TB model stores approximately 130 4K movies, while the 30 TB version accommodates around 500 4K movies. For titles available in the exclusive 4K Cinematic™ format, these capacities correspond to approximately 75 and 275 movies, respectively. This flexibility allows you to choose the solution that best suits your viewing habits and collection.
Unlike traditional streaming platforms, Kaleidescape downloads movies directly to the server. This approach preserves high-bitrate video files and lossless soundtracks, including Dolby Atmos, without relying on your internet connection during playback. Your movies remain stored locally, ready to be enjoyed under the best possible conditions.
With its Gigabit Ethernet connection, the Compact Terra can download a 4K movie in as little as 10 minutes, depending on your internet connection speed. New titles can also be downloaded while watching a movie already in your collection, without interrupting the experience.
Paired with a Kaleidescape Strato movie player, the Compact Terra unlocks the richness of the Kaleidescape ecosystem. Its signature interface lets you browse your collection through beautiful movie artwork, discover related titles and easily revisit your favourite scenes. An experience that makes choosing a movie almost as enjoyable as watching it.
The Compact Terra can serve up to five Kaleidescape movie players simultaneously, allowing different family members to enjoy movies in multiple rooms throughout the home. It becomes possible to create a complete cinematic environment where every space has access to the same collection without compromising playback quality.
Its compact design makes integration into an AV cabinet or dedicated equipment installation simple. An optional rack-mounting kit also allows one or two servers to be installed side by side in just 1U of rack space.
At Audiophile Experts, what we particularly appreciate about the Compact Terra is its philosophy. It is not simply about accumulating movies, but about building a collection that reflects who you are, filled with films you love, want to rediscover and enjoy sharing with others.
Your movies, your collection, your cinema. A personal experience brought to life with Kaleidescape.
