With the Kube 12 MIE, KEF offers a subwoofer that does more than simply add power to an audio system. Its primary goal is to reproduce the foundation of music and cinematic effects with depth, precision and control. An approach that appeals to both high-fidelity enthusiasts and home theater lovers.
At the heart of the Kube 12 MIE is a 12-inch (30.5 cm) long-throw driver, paired with 300 watts RMS of Class D amplification. Its sealed enclosure promotes controlled bass reproduction, while its frequency response extending down to 22 Hz (±3 dB) allows it to reproduce even the most demanding low frequencies.
Music Integrity Engine® (MIE) technology is one of its key strengths. Using KEF's proprietary digital signal processing algorithms, it optimizes the performance of both the driver and amplifier. iBX Intelligent Bass Extension technology also helps preserve bass depth and detail, even at lower listening volumes.
Room integration has been carefully considered. With three preset EQ settings, the Kube 12 MIE can be adapted to different placements for more balanced bass reproduction. Its RCA and speaker-level inputs, along with KEF SmartConnect technology, make it easy to integrate with a wide variety of audio systems.
Compatible with the KEF KW1 wireless subwoofer adapter, sold separately, it offers greater flexibility when choosing the ideal placement. Its automatic power-on function and 12V trigger input also simplify everyday operation.
A true favourite at Audiophile Experts, the Kube 12 MIE impresses us with its ability to provide a solid foundation for musical recordings while bringing a new dimension to movie soundtracks. Its understated design and relatively compact dimensions allow it to blend naturally into any living space.
Deep bass, intelligent engineering and the versatility to bring both music and movies to life.
