With the X2, LUMIN chose to rethink the very heart of its network player. Rather than relying on a standard conversion chip, the engineers developed a fully in-house discrete DAC, built component by component to better control how the music is reconstructed.
But a precise core also requires a stable environment to express itself. That is why the X2 uses an external dual-toroidal power supply, separated from the main chassis. This approach reduces interference and allows the unit to operate in a much calmer electrical environment.
