Marantz
The first ever Marantz product came to life in a New-York basement in 1953. Founder Saul B. Marantz was a classical guitarist and was dissatisfied by the amplifiers of his time. He wished for an amplifier that could deliver pure musical reproduction, that could present music as it was meant to be heard. This is how the Marantz Audio Consolette came to be, the first of many world-renowned components the company created over more than 60 years.
Saul B. Marantz’ passion and his belief that nothing should get in the way of music became the company’s main philosophy through the years. To materialize this philosophy, Marantz employs world-renowned acousticians that work in state-of-the-art facilities. These sound masters created the technology needed to reach the level of quality that corresponded to their passion. The Marantz proprietary Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAMs) deliver ultra-wide-band response and detailed reproduction and the acclaimed Marantz Musical Mastering filters new media files into exceptional high-resolution playback.
But to Marantz, perfect specifications and technical accomplishment count for nothing unless a product can unlock the power, the excitement and the emotion of music. Each component the company creates goes through extensive and painstaking tuning by sound masters to achieve the sonic signature of Marantz. Founder Saul b. Marantz’ knowledge and passion are passed among generations like time-honed traditions and culminated in the company’s simple philosophy: “Because Music Matters.”
