CXA81 | Integrated Amplifier | Bluetooth
The Cambridge Audio CXA81 offers a precise and powerful sound reproduction using the London-based company’s finely tuned and carefully designed components. An efficient Toroidal transformer brings to life high quality signal form either analog or digital input, the latter being processed by a capable 32-bit DAC.
The CXA81 presents a symmetrical design with fully discrete left and right channels. The pre and power sections of the amp employ cutting-edge capacitors and short signal paths to ensure signal dynamics and clarity. The state-of-the-art Toroidal transformer provides 80 Watts of power that will easily manage demanding loudspeakers which enhances the amplifier’s control over rapidly changing dynamics.
The wide array of inputs of this amp includes Bluetooth aptX HD connectivity as well as SPDIF and USB signals. These digital inputs are processed by the ESS Sabre ES9016K2M DAC, offering an extensive 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256 compatibility. The analog options offer RCA and Balanced XLR inputs, a subwoofer-out and a RCA Pre-out connectivity. Finally, in addition to the two pairs of speaker terminals, it is possible to plug headphones via the front panel’s 3.5mm audio jack.
